Product Overview & Review
The Sawyer Squeeze Water Filtration System is a lightweight and reusable solution for filtering freshwater during hiking, camping, backpacking, travel, hunting, fishing, and emergency preparedness. Its 0.1-micron absolute hollow-fiber membrane is designed to filter bacteria, protozoa, cysts, sediment, and microplastics without requiring chemicals or batteries.
The system can be used with its included collapsible pouches, compatible hydration packs, or standard 28mm threaded bottles. Users can drink directly through the filter or squeeze filtered water into another bottle or container.
The Squeeze filter is rated to remove 99.99999% of bacteria and 99.9999% of protozoa, while Sawyer states that it also filters 100% of microplastics. The filter is reusable and backed by a manufacturer's lifetime limited warranty.
The standard kit includes two reusable BPA-free collapsible pouches, a cleaning plunger, cleaning coupling, gravity tubing, inline hydration-pack adapters, and a mesh storage bag.
Important: Sawyer states that the filter does not remove metals, chemicals, pesticides, VOCs, hydrocarbons, or salt, so it should be used with appropriate freshwater sources.
